As far as the PRS or NRL sites, is their a link that tells you what equipment they top contenders are using?
I searched and all I can find is names, division and so on. No mention of equipment anywhere.

If you click on peopleās names you can see some of their gear (self-reported but informative). Not exactly sure how to pull up last seasonās scores as that would be a lot more informative.
This thing specifically is the āeasy buttonā for getting into NRL22 (you can get cheaper optics and arca rails elsewhere, this is just an example) - CZ 457 MTR - Fully Loaded ā Area 419
Thanks to everyone with the information above. I have decided that I really donāt need a ultra rimfire, aka Vudoo or MPA. I settled on a CZ Varmint MTR.
I also happened to score a great deal on a Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56. Itās a bit overkill for 50 -150 yards but its a dog gone good scope.
How often do you clean the barrel on your .22lr.
I believe the new for 2025 MSRP limit in PRS22 the $1632 for production class. If you go with the CZ you still have plenty of room for glass. If you go with the B14R like I did, you have $503 in MSRP left.
Personally I went with the B14R and a Discovery Optics ED Gen2 5-25x56. Why? Iām not there to win. Iām there to get better and the best way for me to do that is to shoot a setup that is as close to what I hunt with and that is the B14R.
Ya know, @backfire that would make a great video! What is the best combo for production class NRL/PRS 22? With the ammo prices and boom in long range shooting, you might create a whole new wave of precision .22 shooters.
JB, I will go 250 shots with keeping an eye on a carbon ring forming or if testing some new ammo clean before testing.
jwright,
Question, If you purchase a set up at todays MSRP limit for production class, what happens down the road when your set ups MSRP is now above the limit? How do they account for older equipment that was permissible one year but at todays pricing is over the limit?
Jwright,
Thanks for putting that together. I had to read through it a couple times to grasp it. Thanks again.
Just keep in mind that is PRS 22. I can comment on NRL 22
I havenāt other than running a snake through it
