Thanks for the photos. Does the Bergara you included have a detachable mag? If I were to move off the one I have I really would like a mag. Not a fan of the hinged floorplate. The first bolt action I used back in the day didn’t have a detachable mag and I never thought anything of it. I guess I was more used to a mag than I realized lol.
See I am the opposite and prefer the floor plate, which it does come with by default. My understanding is that Bergara has a conversion kit for B-14 models to go from floorplate to DBM. I never buy them but that is what I have heard.
I agree. I have the Ruger American Gen2 in 308 and it does shoot very well. I paired it with a Sig Sierra3 3.5-10x42 scope
Yeah I’ve saw that. I do believe I am going to get a different gun. Someone is getting this one from me for what I paid for it so I wont be out any money to start over.

So Jim’s favorite go to gun has been an Sig Cross in 6.5 cm. His kids have hunted with it with great success. So much so I bought one. 18” threaded barrel. I am at my hunting lease and just sighted mine in across the back of my side x side.
Sighted it in at 100 yards.
The Sig sells for $1599.00. I got lucky and found this used for $1100.00.
