Would you use 20 MOA scope mounts or not? I want my scope mounted as close the to the action as possible. What would ya’ll do and why?
Unless you have super human eyes or Abilities, you’re not going to notice the difference between a zero MOA Rail and a 20 MOA rail in terms of the scope position on the rifle.
20MOA can be helpful if you’re planning on using a scope and dialing a lot.
Ha ha. Right on. That makes sense. Okay thank you.
Unless you are planning on shooting long distances, over 500 yards you most likely don’t need a 20 moa rail. The only thing that they do is enable your scope to shoot at longer ranges with the elevation adjustment that is built into it.
I prefer not to use a 20 moa because the scope makers tell me the tracking and optical quality of the center is slightly better so that’s my preference, but some 30mm scopes need 20moa rails to shoot past 1200 or so.
