As an independent voter, this is kind of how I’m feeling going into the election year. There needs to be limits on how long all these politicians can be in office and I’d even support an age limit.
If Congress can’t agree on a budget and it leads to a Gov shutdown, every single one of them (both parties) should be fired and replaced. Political posturing has cost the taxpayers stupid amounts of money from these shutdowns and it’s only getting worse. There needs to be more transparency from our politicians proving they are not being bought off by big businesses too.
This may be unpopular with this crowd, but I can’t stand Biden or Trump. I hate that it’s the “best” our country has to offer. I’d love to see a candidate that’s 35-60 years old come in and just blow it out of the water at the debates.
I am voting Vivek. All of the energy, brains and values without the drama. 38 - a bit young maybe? But he studies things. His stance on US semiconductor capabilities and its affect on our security seems right on to me.
I wish there was a primary before the primary. Widdle it down to two. Cruz, Rubio, and the rest of them seemed to split the vote. I think it will happen again.
I’m with you! I would MUCH prefer Trump to Biden, but I hope those aren’t our options.
I’m firmly in the Vivek Ramaswamy camp. He’s phenomenal and I think he could win a GIANT percentage of independents if he was against Biden. Super conservative, but intelligent enough to EXPLAIN things to moderates so they can support it.
Trump voted for unconstitutional gun control and famously said “take the guns first do due process later”. Trump increased spending more than any president in history up to that point. Trump didn’t get the wall done despite having a republican senate and house for the first two years of his presidency.
Also, Trump lost to someone even as bad as BIDEN. He simply can’t win independent voters. Thats not a promising candidate.
I don’t fault anyone for voting for Trump. I get it. Just hope we put up a candidate more likely to win.
Makes no sense to me, whatsoever. What does age have to do with anything? Explain to me the logic please. There are already laws about being mentally fit, they just are not enforced obviously. Biden should be in an institution or in jail. Trump is the only chance we have to tear down the deep state. Do I wish he wasn’t so polarizing? Yes, but nobody else is going to challenge the DOJ, FBI, ATF etc.
More likely to win than Trump? Latest polls show him leading everybody by a landslide. Can you explain? Trump didn’t loose to Biden. The election was cheated. Do you really think Fulton county and Pennsylvania were honest elections? There is ample evidence all across the nation, though many choose not to believe it.
I do not harbor any illusions that Vivek will win. Primary is only time I even have a chance to have a vote that means something for president. My vote for president means nothing in the general election in Oregon. I still do it and will vote Trump but spitting into the wind in this state. I still believe in the value of the electoral college nonetheless.
Just goes to show how screwed up the system is. In North Carolina the exact opposite is true. My primary vote means absolutely nothing, at least with my experience. By the time we have our primary, the nominee has already been decided by all the previous States’ primaries. On the other hand, things are very tight in the general election with this state becoming more purple.
Biden: as corrupt as the day is long (and The Party isn’t much better)
Trump: Trump maxes Democrat turnout, is wildly unpopular among Independents, and is so well known at this point, there are very, very few people he can “win over”
Term limits, inability to produce a budget, etc… Mark Levin’s book “Liberty Amendments” is puts forth a solid proposal to fix much of what ails us vis-à-vis the federal govt (except I prefer replacing current tax code with FAIRtax rather than flat tax). Would require a convention of states (which 19 states have approved, 34 required to convene and propose amendments, 38 required to pass amendments)
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be the political will among voters and certainly not among politicians to fix this. As for Trump vs Biden…well, we’ve got months to go before POTUS candidates are confirmed, so maybe something will change for the better (whether ‘better’ is [improved polling for Trump among centrists + decreased interest/turnout by Dem voters] or someone else in the lead). I’m absolutely certain that any Republican POTUS candidate will be better than any Democrat candidate on the right to arms and self-defense, turning loose the US economy, foreign policy + national Security/military affairs, and various important social issues.
Some good points, and I totally agree that Trump maximizes opposition turnout. He is very polarizing but I just dont see any other real choice. I have been researching Ramaswamy and I like what he says, so if he wins the nomination I would certainly vote for him.

I agree with the Trump prediction. However, being a South Carolinian, I know that Tim speaks pretty, but I think he is a RINO without much backbone to buck the powers that be.
I agree. Why do you think that are trying so hard to find something to throw at him that will stick? They tried for 7 years, spent millions upon millions of our tax dollars trying to find something that would bring him down. Nothing yet! You could less than $100 and a week to find trash on most politicians.
I disagree. I think Trump was a good president for the most part as far as his policies and political actions…with the exception of his 2A record. However, he’s already had his chance to tear down the three letter agencies and he wasn’t able to get anything done.
Vivek actually has a plan to get things done, things the executive can actually do. I’d check him out, if you haven’t already. Vivek actually describes himself as leaning more into America First policies than Trump.
Besides that, I honestly don’t think Trump can beat Biden. Independents are soured on Trump, and the left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome is still strong.
I want a president who can actually unite and move us in the right direction as a country. Neither Trump or Biden can do that.
I think he was a great president! The most important thing he did was appoint judges that follow the constitution. It doesn’t ultimately matter what he thinks about 2A, it matters what the Judges think.

I do not need uniting in the understanding of the term these days. No thank you. I refuse to give up my freedoms to move to the center or left. And you can be sure they are not coming this way on abortion. So uniting is a pipe dream that I think will never happen. You vote D you know what you are supporting in the extreme with gender stuff, defund police, border policies, energy and climate, etc. Why would you compromise on that stuff? Sell your soul for peace and harmony with those that really do not like us? No thanks. And a RINO is just as bad.
