22 CM for big game

I’ve recently done a lot of research on the 22 CM. The ballistics are absolutely incredible as most people know. I am having a custom rifle chambered in 22 CM built right now. I’m going 18” barrel because I will be shooting suppressed. My question is what everyone’s thoughts are on using this cartridge for pronghorn, mule deer, or coues deer? I have a 6.5 PRC that I will use primarily for those three but I always like to take a back up rifle with me on hunts in case something happens. So am curious what everyone’s thoughts are on the 22 CM for those three species. What distance would you guys stretch it out to on game as well?

Also will be my first suppressor so looking for recommendations on something that could work on the 22CM all the way up to 7MM PRC.

Pretty sure you can take Mule Deer with 22 Creed, here is Muley Freak taking on at 738 yards (didn’t drop in tracks, but it was a great shot) - jump to 19:30 for the shot.

If you can take a Mule Deer, don’t see why Pronghorn or Coues would be a problem.

The 22cm is something special when you look at the combination of speed high bc bullets low recoil and efficiency of the case design. I wouldn’t think twice to use it on deer at any range you can shoot accurately at. And let’s be real that’s not as far as most of us would like to think. Check out the 22CM channel that Jim has been on as well

I think it’s suitable for all those animals but could be marginal on really big bodied mule deer. Whitetail and pronghorn it’s perfect.

I shot a whitetail at 580 and it did great.

Which bullet did you use for that?
