I just bought Fierce mountain reaper in 300 PRC. Love it so far. What does everyone think about 300prc vs 300 win mag?
First member post in the community! I am SOOO grateful for your support. Seriously, it means a lot.
For me, the biggest pro for the PRC is ease of load development since there are fewer dimensions to be working with given the tighter tolerances. The biggest benefit of 300 win mag? AMMO PRICE!
For me, I’d grab the PRC, but if I weren’t reloading, I’d go Win Mag.
Oh, and sweet gun man!
I guess i am going to have to buy a 300 PRC so i can really present an informed comparison.
I have been following your channel a long time, and we seem to have similar views on firearms and gear. When I saw the post I jumped on board. Hoping to get access to videos without stupid u tube rules.
Btw just ordered Hornady match dies. Gonna start out my reloading on this rifle and 308 for my waypoint. Excited to watch your reloading tutorials.
After my barrel break in my first group was an inch, second .75” third a fourth .5” and shrinking! Love this rifle but it is snappy.
300 PRC is a hand loaders dream. Don’t have one yet but it’s on my list.
I love the fact I was the first plus member I have to say. Kinda awesome, I have been a huge fan for years your love of hunting and taste in rifles matches my own and in part has influenced me. Guess that’s why you are an influencer, lol. I am curious are you going to be doing a full review am that mountain reaper you have? I would love to watch it. Hoping that you feel the same as I do about mine. Thanks for all you do Jim!
I’m not sure I’d get a lot of views on a straight up review of the reaper since it’s a more expensive gun. It’s been good so far, but I am having some feeding issues now that I’m working through.
So on the mountain reaper I sent my cheek riser and pistol grip back to fierce because it looked like there were air bubbles in the carbon fiber. They called me same day they received them and it is in fact a spray on coating to add grip or texture not air bubbles. Just a fyi in case you decide to do a real review.
