Came across this video and they proved there point of why it’s worth considering
I use this still but mainly for straight wall, muzzleloader, and my 338 federal for scoped long distance shooting. It gives more available adjustment with the turrets. It also harkens back to the Maximum Point blank range prior to turrets being widely used for out west. Ultimately, I would agree having a shorter yardage for a zero is great on modern guns. I would calculate how high that bullet will climb if you have a zero stop. I use Luepold which with some I cant go negative with. You will want to compare what zero distance will spine a buck at 125 to 150 if you cant adjust in some guns. Looking above in the video, the 50 yard give you the capability to point and shoot out to 200 with only going 3/4 of an inch above zero where 30 causes your max to be 3.5 above zero. what are you willing to work with.
