Does anyone know if any other ammo companies plan to produce 360 BH ammo? Obviously the 350L is being produced by many ammo companies so it’s the choice as far as ammo selection goes. I like a lever gun but I do not want one that I can’t find shells for in the future or I’m forced to bother someone to reload for me. I figure both calibers are more than capable for taking down a whitetail out around the 200 yard mark. I’ve googled this and didn’t really come up with anything as far as ammo companies saying they were going to take this on. Right now it’s just Remington & Federal. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!
The unfortunate truth is we just don’t know what 360 BH’s future is going to hold yet. Will take time to see if it sustains enough sales to maintain staying power. This is basically a “straight-wall states” cartridge, which is going to limit its appeal; many lever lovers who aren’t under such restrictions, like here in Missouri, will likely stick with the old 30-30 or 35 Remington, or 45-70. And there are other “compliant” competitors too like 357 or 44 mag, which many will prefer over buying a new 360 BH, even in the straight-wall states. So, I would guess 360 BH has an uphill battle ahead of it. But you never know, I guess 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster have done pretty well, and I didn’t think they would, either.
I haven’t heard of any other companies adopting it. I suspect it’ll remain a decent but niche cartridge.
Yeah since the straight walled rules came about here in AR, the 350 Legend has been selling out everywhere. I feel like over half the population has bought 1 or 2.
I searched google for a while looking for other ammo companies that would even hint at a production and found nothing. Any other lever cartridges you might recommend on whitetail out to 200 yards in the straight walled family?
