6.5 Grendel that doesn't group

A buddy of mine needed some money for cataract surgery. I bought 5 guns from him, and sold all of them except one. Basically broke even. One of the rifles was a 6.5 Grendel, and I thought it might make a good pig gun as it was on a AR platform with a 16” barrel and much lighter than my Seekins SP10 in .308. Problem is it won’t group to my standards. So I am going to sell it at the gun show this weekend.

This is really for Jim. Do you have a 6.5 Grendel. Reason I ask I have 7 boxes (about 120 rounds) of different factory loads that I have shot 5 rounds out of each box. If you can use them I would be happy to send them to you. Guess this is the only place to write to you. I had sent you a bunch of 7prc brass when it first came out. You have my email, let me know.

Oh man! Thats really kind of you! Unfortunately, I don’t own a Grendel though.

Have you thought about just spinning a new barrel on it?

I put a Ballistics Advantage 16” Premium barrel on it and not much better. Pretty much a 2” group at 100 yards. All of my rifles are 1 moa and better. Most are 1/2moa. This photo is my pig gun, Seekins SP10 308, 12 rounds shot 1 round per sec, at 100 yards.
