6.5 prc 127 gr lrx load dev

Hey guys! I have a springfield waypoint in 6.5 prc, and it just does not like the precision hunter ammo, so decided to get back into reloading. Im thinking about using the 127gr LRX, H1000, and nosler brass. Anyone have thoughts on this? Also not sure if i should use a magnum federal 215 primer, or a large rifle federal 210 primer.

I have a load for 6.5prc, 143gr ELDX, with H1000 and Large Rifle primer. I am using Lapua brass. It is clocking 2881fps with a standard deviation of 5.5. Shooting from a Seekins Precision Slam

@Spencertyates I too load a 6.5 PRC, using Barnes 127g LRX and H1000. Not sure I would use a magnum primer ever, but I am using LRP CCI BR and love them. I live in Wyoming and never noticed any issues with cold weather. I use Lapua brass and love it immensely. My last load of 57g H1000 was producing ~3050 FPS muzzle, and extremely low SD of 6.5 which I am very happy about.

Gonna do a 30 round group next to see if I can maintain that low ES and SD, and if so then I will start fine tuning with seating depth.

Overall I am happy with and am seeing consistent results with the CCI LRP and H1000 on the LRX.

Thats great to know! I was thinking about starting with a 57 powder charge as well, so hopefully that does well. Im going to use nosler brass and federal match 210 primers.
