I got an MDT field stock for my 6.5 PRC Savage 110 as a stop gap until the Backlight chassis comes out. I also got a 7 round metal MDT magazine. I love the stock but at first I thought I got the wrong magazine because I had to really slam it in to get it to latch. Once latched I couldn’t get my rounds to reliably feed. They fit in the mag just fine but it looks like they catch on the lip below the feed ramp in the chamber. Does anyone have any advice or insight on how I can get this thing to feed? I ordered some polymer mags from Grayboe to see if maybe those work better. Not sure what else to do
Just an update. After talking with the MDT guys, it appears that the Savage requires a binder plate magazine to feed properly. The rounds barely fit in the magazine without the binder plate so I decided to put a notch in the feed ramp and it feeds properly now.
