One of the gun stores I shop has Benelli sales, plus $200 rebate on top of that from Benelli on Benelli LUPO. Which would you go for , a Benelli LUPO 24” 6.5 PRC vs. 6.5 creedmore? I have neither one caliber in any of my rifles. I do have a Benelli LUPO BEST 300WM though. But between the store discount plus the rebate, the deal is too good to pass up.
What’s the intended use for the rifle?
The Creedmoor is going to give you a little less recoil, cheaper Factory ammo, and a wider variety of ammo availability than the prc. The PRC is going to give you more velocity which depending upon what you’re going to use it for it could be quite handy, but at the cost of more recoil and slightly more expensive ammo.
I could see the case for either. Since the Lupe is a tiny bit heavier, it could be perfect for a 6.5 PRC.
That’s a great shooting rifle. I’d go 6.5prc for a little more versatility. Unless there’s a specific reason you are looking for less recoil or slightly cheaper ammo.
6.5 prc is my choice
Well, thank you all for your suggestions. I decided to go with the 6.5 PRC. BENELLI LUPO 24” 6.5 PRC. I got it at GunZoneDeals through their 90-day layaway plan. With the discount and the $200 rebate it came out to $969 plus tax and shipping. I am trying to diversify away from 300 WM by having a few other caliber as well in my rifles’ collection.
Let us know what you think when you get it. I was sort of automatically going to get a Tikka when I replace my 270 Win, but the Lupo looks interesting.
Sure will.
