7 Backcountry is screwing with my plans lol

Certainly open to thoughts on this…
Here is what I was thinking:

Buying 6.5 PRC with heavy barrel for long range shooting, fun at the range. Likely would need to put it in a chassis since my LoP is so short. The New Seekins PH3 would be ideal.
Then, buying a 20" 300WSM barrel for this action/chassis for backcountry hunting (2025+). I was thinking short action for weight savings which would encourage me to use a Banish Backcountry and maybe a slightly heavier scope like the Athlon Helos.

Now this thing comes out lol. I have a 7PRC. My thought is I could pretty much do the same thing here with the 7PRC, just get a 7mm barrel (Proof or similar) at 16" or 18" and have my gunsmith chamber it to the 7BC and mate it to my Bergara Action. I could then find a cheaper 6.5 CM for fun @ range days.

Thoughts?

Should be interesting to see what the higher pressure/velocities do to barrel throats and ultimately barrel life. It’s a neat concept, I just want to see some more data.

Barrel life is practically irrelevant for a hunting rifle; oh no, you might have to rebarrel it in 10-20 years.
