So emailing back and forth with Proof with questions on a .308 rifle and we got chatty. We (the service rep) both built 7 PRC rifles this year, Barnes sent them “Round A and Round B” loads to test in their rifles and the are consist sub-half MOA with the current 160 LRX load in 7PRC across all of their platforms. He also shared 70 grains of H1000 with a 160 gr. Hornady CX was a half-MOA load at 3,100 our of a 1:8 22" test barrels and getting half MOA groupes- food for thought if you own a Proof. They are soon to test Barnes 160 LRX with H1000. He did mention that this is a “warm” load and should be slowly worked up to.

Thats 0.5 gn above the max on Hornady’s app for H1000.
I have the 22” Proof on my Savage. I shall look into it. I have some H1000. Barnes lists 71.1 grains as max load for 3128 fps for 24” barrel. Hence the disclaimers for max loads.
