7mm PRC bullet variety

As 7mm PRC presumably becomes more widely used, should we expect factory ammo to come in a greater variety of offerings including lighter weight bullets (for example, 7PRC’s originator, Hornady, offers seven 7mm Rem Mag factory loads but only three for 7PRC)?
Also, given that a range of 7mm bullets are widely available - Hornady alone offers 20 diff bullets 120-190gr, has anyone seen published load data for 7mm PRC with any or all those lighter bullets? (I don’t have a manual that incl 7mm PRC; Hodgdon website publishes for 150gr Nosler E-Tips, but I’ve seen nothing else online.)

The lowest weight I see listed on the Hornady reloading app is 139 grain. All the way up to 190.

Barnes has yet to publish any load data. It will be interesting to see what they do when they do. For the 7 mm RUM, they have weights going down to 110 grain. However they don’t do that for the 28 nosler, only 139

:+1: i’m glad to know there’s reloading data for a variety of bullets.

Yeah, Hornady normally keeps their loads pretty undiversified in factory ammo for each cartridge. I like their offerings but it’s not a big variety of weights.

I’m excited to test out some of the Federal 7mm PRC loads that have been hitting shelves lately.

Great info — Thanks!

I can’t find any data on 7 PRC reloading for 168gr ABLR. Or should I not try it? I found info on Barnes LRX 168gr. I saw that 175gr is ideal. But I wanted a little variety. When I try to look up through Nosler, it takes me to 180gr ABLR as the only option. However, I am getting the impression not all 7mm bullets belong in a 7mm PRC? No?

That bullet Should work just fine. I load it in a 28 Nosler behind Retumbo
