Hey Jim and community if you have not tried the area 419 scope rings I would highly recommend them. They have match scope rings and lighter hunting ones. They are little pricier but are well build and probably my favorite I have tried so far! They also make some good reloading equipment.

I hear good things about them. I don’t own any though.
I just ordered a new scope. I will probably use the Area 419 mount instead of my usual rings. Hakahn Spuhr recommends using lube, preferably grease, between scope or mount bases and pic rail to prevent galling…I use MilComm TW25B which is also great for bolt lugs…it helps prevent peening as well as reducing wear…
