A rifle sling for Jim

Hey Jim, on one of the podcasts you asked if there was a sling that someone could recommend because you haven’t been impressed with the slings you have tried. While I don’t have a recommendation, one of my other favorite podcasts did.

On the vortex nation podcast titled gear in review 2022 one of the speakers mentioned he absolutely loved his FHF gear sling because of its pack attachment feature. What he said made sense to me so I’d be curious to see what you think about that sling on a western hunt.

As a bonus the FHF tac mountain rest(for a tripod) mentioned in that podcast seemed like another really cool piece of inexpensive gear. Let me know what all you guys think?

I’ve heard JVB recommend the red kettle but I haven’t tried it myself.

Would like to bring this topic in to 2025. What are you guys recommending these days? Does anyone have any thoughts on the Camohunters Xpert Sling or the Stalker Sling V2?

I have the Quake Claw sling on my hunting rigs, great sling, quick adjustment, very grippy. Super value for what you get.
