Aero Precision Action measurement help

So I have this barreled action hopefully coming this year from Aero… trying to get a measurement of distance on the pictinney rail, so if someone has one if they could take a measurement for me? As I’m looking to match it up with a Cantilever mount. Thanks

I have a short action, but not a long action so I’m not sure that I can help.

maybe call or email them? I’d send them that image with your red line markings.

You obviously haven’t followed the thread “Aero Precision Legit” as Aero has no customer service, no product support, no email support, and your lucky to get what you order in a timely fashion.

Ouch! Yeah, sorry to hear man. I “Obviously” don’t. Just trying to help you out.

I don’t have the lightweight version. If that makes a difference then stop reading now.

Outside to outside is roughly 170 mm. I say roughly because I don’t have a set of digital calipers that’s that long, and measuring these things are not easy because as you can see not all surfaces are square.

Inside to inside, 89.5 mm

I didn’t think about this until this morning ( lack of sleep due to covid)

If you take the 89.5 mm inside to inside, and then measure the length of the forward rail, and the rear rail, and add them all together you get 168.5 mm, which would be outside to outside.. So 170 was a pretty damn good measurement for eyeballing it.

Still could be off by a millimeter or so though because of the fact that some of these surfaces are sloped and trying to get the blade of the calipers set on it is tricky.

Thanks I think that’s helpful as I would guess the outside to outside length on the standard version and the lightweight version would be basically identical, I think only difference is the lack of material in the middle, so then I’m able to at least when wasting time at a g gun shop at least start looking and measure so mounts etc.. or probably just have to wait 4weeks to a year or longer for the barreled action to show:confounded_face:.
