Aftermarket Folding Chassis

Anyone have experience picking up aftermarket folding chassis? I just got a Bergara B-14 Wilderness in 6.5 PRC for a great deal. My idea was to pull it out the ok, but not great, stock it comes with and put it in a folding chassis. MDT obviously makes great stuff but $1500 for a chassis is a bit hard to do. What other options are out there?

Jim, ever consider doing a comparison video on these? I think that would be cool content.

I like Ultradyne chassis for the price. Just add the mdt or xlr folding connection to the system.

I can’t think of a good deal on one other than Ultradyne’s chassis. As mentioned above it may be possible to add a folder to that but I haven’t done it.

Agreed that the options out there seem a bit too rich.

Which folder from MDT works with ultradyne? Fixed to fixed?

Carbine to carbine:

MDT has been using the terms “Fixed” and “Carbine” to describe the interface between the chassis system and the buttstock. Our “Fixed” chassis systems are recognizable by their “tear drop” shaped stock interface while our “Carbine” chassis systems are characterized by their “circular” shaped stock interface.

The ultradyne is circular.

I appreciate the help. I just purchased the UD 5. Now, I’ll head over to MDT and grab carbine to carbine.
