Has anyone had any experience with the AGM Rattler V2 25-384? Looking to upgrade from night vision to thermal. Most of my night hunting is within 150 yards on AR platform. Thanks for any ideas.

As somebody who is thinking about taking the plunge this year to get into nocturnal stuff, what is it that makes you want thermal over night vision?
I mentioned that to a buddy the other day and he did recommend the Rattler himself
We are running two of them and they are easily our favorites. We have several including pulsar Atn (most hated) x2 and couple of pulsar. We also have and recommend the agm spotters. I can’t see any better for value. Have the price or less them some we have with no compromise in quality. With a range finder built in would be our only upgrade.
Either way they are a very useful tool that you will enjoy. Good luck
In open terrain night vision is pretty good. Once you get to hunting with high brush or trees the ir simply washes out. This never happens with thermal. We do run both, but 90% is thermal.
I have the V1 and it was worked great. I use it on a Ruger American GoWild 22WMR. I use it for those thieving masked corn stealin bastiges. The V2 is supposed to be even better.
Answering why looking at the thermal. I have an ATN X-Sight 4K Pro which works well. The issue is the total weight of my 300 BO. I have the ATN and then have to have a coyote cannon IR off the side of rail. It’s very bulky… I bought an AGM thermal monocular and use it to scan.
Which monocular do you use/like?
Thanks
Definitely not the most expensive but does a good job for our hunting. It’s the AGM Seeker 25-384. Got it from Outdoor Legacy. It’s a husband and wife owned business that will answer your questions.
I am a fan of Pulsar. I use Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 monocular for scanning. I use a Pulsar Thermion 2 XP 50 Pro on a Daniel Defense for Coyotes. I use a Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP50 on a Seekins Precision SP10 in .308 for pigs.
