So, when I was in high school - mid eighties, my LGS had a Winchester Model 70 featherweight in 30-06 on the shelf. Could not swing it then, but now after many carbon fiber stock/proof barrel rifles, I found a new/old stock , unfired, red recoil pad 1985 Model 70 featheweight and gave it a forever home - friend bedded it and did a nice trigger job (3 lbs). Have a nice VX5 on it. Every rifle I have is set up for Barnes bullets, I would like this classic to shoot a cup and core bullet. I have bought a box of Remington Cor-locs and Federal Fusion - what other traditional bullets are working for you in a 1:10 30-06? Federal, Nosler? I have been out of the lead game for 10 plus years. I am not expecting the accuracy I am getting out of my custom rifles, but would be stoked if I could get MOA. Would like to take it on my KY hunt this year, weather permitting.
Thanks!
