Anyone familiar with "Mirage" custom made rifles?

Hi everyone,
I am just checking to see if anyone is familiar or heard of this gun maker and their custom made ULRs? Mirage Rifles.
I already have three 338 LM rifles. And one of the calibers they work with is 338 LM, but he also makes CT calibers as well.
I was reading about a SAKO TRG 62 A1. That rifle is not available in the US yet, but the description said it is a 375 CT and it is 25% more efficient and power compared to a 338 LM.
So, I am leaning towards copying theirs and their specification as far as the barrel is concerned and to go with one of the CT calibers. I am also aware that CT calibers cost a lot more than 338 LM.
If you were to go with one, which would you select and why?
The lead time takes 5-7 months.

I also came across another custom gun maker, Jarrets’:

Thanks

Those look like cool guns but I’ve never heard of Mirage before so I can’t comment on their reputation.

375 CheyTac is an awesome round for shooting past a mile. Is that what you’re doing with it?

Hi Jim. Yes, that is what my plans are with a CT round.
Initially, I came across SAKOs’ TRG 62 A1 which uses 375 CT with a barrel length of 30". Their description reads:
" The TRG 62 A1 stands out in its class with a significant enhancement in hit rates up to 1500 meters, and a notable increase in energy efficiency, delivering over 25% more energy. "
“the TRG 62 A1 maintains superior accuracy over distances exceeding 2000 meters, establishing itself as one of the most precise sniper rifles available.” “The rifle’s powerful caliber ensures effective energy transfer and penetration on impact. Over 25% more energy at 2000 meters is offered by 9,5x77 compared to .338 Lapua Magnum.
After reading this, I reached out to the sales team at EuroOptics to see if they can order it. It normally takes them 24 hours to reply, but they were quick on this one, I got a reply within 30 min! He said SAKO has not imported this into US and he even reached out to Barret which has the rights to import SAKO firearms, and their reply was the same.
His last comment was “If I had it, I would be more than happy to sell you one!” :joy:At the moment, it is not available for sale in the US. Since I had its specification, I emailed Mirage regarding the length of their barrels on their ULRs. He responded, it is up to the customer what length they want. Then he gave me some guidelines:
“we recommend 31-33” on 338LM but have made as short as 22” in dor special purpose.
On the Cheytac’s 29-36” is common. But can do the longer ones if you need.”
And he followed up by saying:
“We build a centerline chassis which reduces hop and felt recoil. We offer custom length front tubes out to 24” which allows you to get good bipod extension on longer barrels without the added movement of some other systems.
On 338LM you will easily be able to get 2900-3000 fps with 300 gr bullets due to the special IBI barrel that we use. We also offer 4.050” mag on 338LM.”
He is the third custom maker specialist who also recommended CT.
As I indicated earlier, the SAKO TRG 62A1 has a 30" barrel.
MRADELR I believe has a 36" barrel and so does Victrix Throne V also comes with a 38" barrel and I believe both of these come with a muzzle brake. And both cost right around $10K give or take a few hundred dollars.
I looked on his website and he has some pricing on different configuration and the most expensive custom he has is priced at $7,995. It comes with the muzzle brake and scope rings. He also has scopes, he carries Valdada IOR Scopes. I was thinking either one of my Trijicon Tenmile scopes, or a Steiner, or possibly Burris Eliminator 6.
I have emailed him what I am looking for and asked for a quote. Late today. Most likely I would be hearing from him on Monday.
His terms are 50% down and the remaining balance can be paid over the 5-7 months it takes to complete the rifle.

Have you checked out Cadex? They have a great reputation. They look amazing, and I’ve shot their 375 CheyTac before and loved it. Cadex Defense Shadow, .375CT, 32" Hybrid Tan/Black Rifle CDX40-DUAL-375-32-BR40-D2E4N-HTB For Sale - EuroOptic.com

Oh yes. I forgot all about them. I have looked into them before. As a matter of fact, specifically the one you provided the link to. I read over its specification and it’s very much similar to the SAKO TRG62 A. And right now it is discounted almost a $1,000 which makes it very attractive.
Jim, How was the recoil from a CheyTac compared to a 338 LM or a 416 Barret?
