A buddy of mine has a friend who is building a pistol range on his property were he is going to shoot pistons and Pistol Caliber Carbines. He invited to go out and plink, so I am looking into a PCC. Anyone have one they would recommend? Especially if it would also fit as a bag gun.
I have looked at the S&W FPC but I am not the biggest fan of the open barrel. Also looked at the Extar EP9, which so far would be hard to beat. Looking in the price point of these 2.
I also have a S&W FPC 9. I considered the Ruger but liked how this folded. I guess for open barrel depending on how you carry - should be checked for obstruction though not sure how that would happen. Otherwise what is the concern with open barrel? I like how you can carry a full box of ammo in mags securely on the gun.
I have the Stribog SP9A1 (gen 2) which is the model with direct blow back and folding brace. Makes for a very small package with the stock folded. I also have the Extar which is a good value but stock does not fold.
the Extar works good so long as you have good Glock magazines. I had cheap Glock mags and was having issues initially, which might be reason I lean more towards the Stribog.
Ruger PCC with the upgraded magpul stock is one of my favorite carbines. Comes with an attachment to convert to Glock mags as well, takedown model that fits into itself because of the magpul stock, and cheek piece has an extra compartment for an additional magazine (or a snack or two😆). And the muzzle is threaded!
