Any suggestions for mounting an ARCA rail on a Bergara B14 Wilderness Sierra to enable attaching a bipod or tripod, depending on situation, while keeping the original sling studs (2-fore and 1-rear) in the manufactured locations?
I put the lightweight magpul moe bipod on mine. That also still let’s me put a sling on it. Not the best bipod but I think good enough stability when out hunting.
Thanks for the response!
A Magpul, MDT Oryx, or similar bipod can connect to the extra sling lug on the forward stock; however, I was thinking of doing something more robust for connecting a tripod or different bipod with a quick release. I’d like to keep the sling lugs in place for use with a sling as intended.
After further consideration, I am holding off on the ARCA rail because its width exceeds that of the forward stock and I cannot envision having the ARCA rail sticking out beyond the stock as being comfortable to hold.
Staying with the MDT Oryx for now. It is easy to install/uninstall, near rock solid stable, and working great! You can mount Oryx onto front sling lug with ample room for attaching sling onto the adjacent or second forward stock sling lug.
