Athlon Optics Rangecraft Velocity Pro available now

Was just checking to see when the drop date would be and low and behold its available now. MSRP is $472, but OpticPlanet has it for $349. Anyone plan on buying it? I want to read some reviews first and I still don’t see any that are more than an overview.

I think @backfire was going to test and review. Any word Jim? I’m interested as well, especially considering the price of the Garmin.

@BEN OP says it will ship 1-3 months which based on my experience, it’s 3 months. Basically, they are taking pre-orders.

And yes, i’m strongly considering buying it.

I’ll call Athlon today and see what things are looking like. I definitely want to review it. I’ve put in a huge order for them so hopefully we can do a group buy for Plus members and get everyone an additional discount.

I’m following it, waiting till it’s on the market for awhile to see if any bugs to work out. Planning to use it to replace my Magnetospeed V3…

I purchased from EuroOptic they placed a big order and supposedly Athlon committed to fullfilling EuroOptic’s order first. And I was also told that the recent tarriffs is going to delay things.

Athlon has committed to us the first shipment of these devices and a large quantity at that, but due to the recent tariffs the shipment has been delayed, so we are uncertain at this moment.

I just received an email from Athlon letting me know they are shipping out today.
Eurooptic told me they have the largest order and were due to receive their order first.
