Howdy to the group!!! I am trying to replicate the Federal Gold Medal Match 308 ammo that uses a 168 grain Sierra Match King projectile. Does anyone in the group have a good load that shoots great? I’m shooting a Bergara B-14 HMR with a 20” barrel and getting 2560 fps from the factory rounds. Here on the island they are $2.50 a round and I KNOW they can be reloaded for much less. Powders are an issue, but I can have things shipped up by barge from Seattle if needed.
I am running the 182 Hammer HHT in my .300WM Sig Cross with 79gr of Ramshot Grand using Peterson long brass averaging 3115fps. CBTO is 2.890 and I’m getting .5” groups on a cold barrel. Pretty happy with Ramshot and the Hammer bullets and load development took me roughly 30 rounds to dial in.
