Having the carbon fiber handguard cover the top of the barrel lessens mirage quite a bit, and protects the barrel.
It’s pushed so far forward that even a super long scope works. If you have a long scope and a shroud, you’ll want higher rings, which really doesn’t matter because the cheek piece is adjustable.
You are correct, just an old stubborn guy here that always tries to keep the scope as low as possible. I should add for the people asking about the cheek screws they haven’t bothered me. Don’t get me wrong I love the chassis!
Yes it a Christensen, yup I bought it before I saw Jim’s review on them. I have it dialed in and it shoots moa but the stock was looking like crap but it looks good now!
