Did they finally release the chassis for Tikka today? Anybody here get one? This has been very frustrating
First day since 7/27 that I haven’t checked right at 10:25 so I missed it. I just got to a point where I assumed the release page would get updated when there was a definitive update. Back to checking daily I suppose haha
We actually just changed it because we were getting asked like 20 times a day when it’s launching 
We got the titanium. Just about got the recoil lug perfected and then we’ll launch. I’m guessing week after next.

What day of the week do they post? Or is it everyday I need to be checking?

Did I miss the Tikka chassis launch?
I’m not in the business and don’t know how many plus members want the Backlight chassis but would it not be less stressful on all if we gave you our order and payment info and the order got placed when available Jim I’m sure we are driving the entire staff Nutt’s with this but my Tikka Barreled action is getting rusty over here LOL For the record I’m Building a 7PRC with a 22 inch Proof Barrel and plan on this being my next Africa gun fore plains game super excited to take all of the Backfire family’s hard work for a spin in Africa probably my last Africa trip and I consider myself lucky to have means to go twice. We are being patient but at same time exited to get it in the gun and test and hopefully make a trip to the backfire range if we qualify
My tikka is waiting as well hoping to get the backfire chassis before hunting season. i thought that was the point of joining so we would get first crack at buying or at least know what day. I cant be around my computer every day at 10:25
I returned my Tikka for a PH3 knowing how much I stress perfecting my setup. In due time the Backlite will be available for them and I might consider another T3X, but with the second delayed release in June I didn’t want to constantly bug Jim and his team adding additional stress. Blame it on a career in the technical service world I guess.
Im pretty frustrated as well. Im sure its not easy launching especially as a small company. I keep looking at the Seekins Hunter chassis and might purchase it. I cant wait forever for the Backlight.
I was comparing the Seekins chassis to the Backlite. Go handle one before you invest the coin, to me the hinge knuckle is in an unpleasant position. Truly I wanted to wait for the Backlite, but adding up a barrel, chassis and trigger to be on par or better than the PH3 wasn’t financially equal. If I were shooting something other than 7 PRC I probably would have ignored a heavier barrel profile.
I handled one at a hunting expo a few months back i think its a good product. Ill wait a bit and continue checking every morning im not in a big hurry.

Has anyone actually been able to get their tikka backlight ordered yet? I check almost daily at the appropriate time and I have seen multiple Rem 700 restocks in both LA and SA but haven’t seen a single Tikka restock since the supposed launch date
Jim and team are still trying to get it perfect rather than dumping a 90% correct product on the world. He and Garrett are currently in Alaska until I think late next week so no direct response from him until that time.
Yes im aware of that info. Its very frustrating with all the hype and anticipation. I would have waited until it was perfected and enough production stock was available. And limited marketing and updates kinda shakes your confidence.
Im abandoning getting one for my Tikka and will hold out and wait to see how long it takes for CVA (currently slated second for 2027)

Makes sense and perfectly understandable. I’m sure one of the the main selling points for everyone eagerly waiting to buy one is the trust that the product is going to perform and be designed well and be research driven as all backstop content/products are. That said, it gets exhausting trying to check on a daily basis and then wondering if you missed your one chance for the next several weeks if you forgot. Maybe the status on the website should be updated (or just notify members here) to reflect a more accurate schedule since it’s currently labeled the same as the Remington 700 platform which seems to follow that description of frequent restocks that sell out quickly. I’m fine waiting longer if that’s what’s needed but it would be cool to not feel the need to vigorously check the site at 10:25 every day just on the off chance that today is the day haha
I was told that there will be no more Tikka drops till guys return from Alaska so relax on checking stock
