Backstop Production Plans

Jim,
One day  I hope to get a 7mm PRC (for bucket list hunt in Namibia), and it might well be a B-14 Ridge (tho wondering if Tikka plans to chamber the 7PRC), but today my candidates for a Backstop are a Marlin 1895 in 444 Marlin and an X-Bolt Hunter in 270 Win. For me, the better candidate to start with is the 270 b/c it get’s much more use, and I’m guessing you’ll be set up to make them for the X-bolt long before (if ever) the Marlin.
So my question: do you have any idea when you’ll get to making them for the X-Bolt Hunter (or at least what the order is, e…g, Winchester Model 70s, then Remington 700s, then…, then X-Bolts)?

PS - enjoying the weekly podcast as well as the YouTube videos. Great content!

Thanks for the support.

The next models coming out for Backstop will be: Ruger American (Releasing today), Fierce, Christensen, then Browning Xbolt.

I’d love to do the Marlin at some point, but it likely won’t be high on the list, unfortunately.

We’re releasing a new style about every week, and our time from order to delivery is just over one week now.

Jim,

Any progress on Backstop Recoil Pads for modern Marlin lever action rifle models 336 (30-30), SBL (45-70 Gov’t), Trapper (45-70 Gov’t), etc.?

I wasn’t willing to wait so I got the Sako 90 backstop in. 300 WM and modded it to fit my 1895. It’s money.

Once the chassis launches in January, we’ll start making new designs more regularly. Really wish we could do it now but we are going at absolutely max speed right now.
