What is the best Ballistics app, both free and paid?
Well, the best is always a debate.
I use ShootersCalculator, just put it in your google search and it will come up. Totally free. Been using it for 10 years plus.

Applied Ballistics, you get access to AB’s testing data for most common projectiles instead of generic G1/G7 curves. Hornady’s 4DOF app also has results from Hornady’s testing but I’ve found the app itself to be inferior.
yep, AB is great resource.
I used to love Hornady 4dof but it’s just too buggy now. Tons of crashes, forgetting my inputs, etc. not reliable enough for my daily use.
Applied ballistics is great.

I used Geoballistics. I really like it. Erik Corntina had it on his show and I tried it and had really good results You can use it free or there is a paid version. Hornady is ok but did not match my actual dope using their ammo.
