Hey all, I have recently went through the safe and had to ask myself “what caliber” some of them were, specially the ones I’ve built. I know I can pull the handguard off and see what is stamped on the barrel but that is a pain. What do you some of you do to easily identify what caliber you AR is if you can’t recall? Would be good for others in your family to know also in case something were to happen to you.
Maybe you could buy a cheap bore scope to slide in between the hand guard and the barrel so that you can read the stamp?
The dust cover on my AR has the caliber on the inside of the cover. I’m sure they have replacement covers with that information that you could install.
