Jim, after listening to the bear hunt pod, do you have any comments regarding bullet choice and performance?

Bullet was the ELD-X. Full penetration. Entrance wound was small and exit was 3” in diameter. It really seemed to perform fine. Impact was no more than 3” away from the ideal spot. At 530 yards, the bullet was traveling at 2100fps and expansion wasn’t an issue.
More I look back at it, the more I’d call this a classic example of being undergunned. The vitals were hit, but just not torn up and shredded as much as they would have been with a larger cartridge.
So would you say a larger diameter bullet, .277/.284 or more powder, 6.5 PRC?
I guess a combination of both. Just more tearing and ripping.
Maybe we chalk it up to 9 times out of 10, it works. How many times do soldiers not even realize they have been shot?
