This thing made a huge Splash on YouTube as well as the internet forums when it was released earlier this year. But about a month later or so it’s been nothing but crickets ever since.
Never seen one at my local gun stores. The only big box store we have around here is Sportsman’s and they don’t carry it even online.
Too few chamberings, none modern except the 6.5 CM. Non adjustable stock. At that price point, have to have at least one of those, better if both. I actually want one, but V2.
Thinking it’s kind of a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Around here nobody is taking shots at running deer with a rifle. We do that with shotguns. Quick follow-up shots really aren’t that big of a need for us.
As for modern chamberings. The most modern chambering that people have accepted around here is the 6.5 PRC. Pretty much everything since then is unknown and really doesn’t offer anything to people who are shooting deer at 100 or 200 yards as they are eating bait from a bait pile.
I have a BRX-1. It’s a 308. I bought it from Euro optics when I was recently in Pennsylvania. People who have handled and shot it think it’s neat.
I think it’s obviously aimed at the Blaser for sale in Europe. The guys at Euro optic sounded like sales were slow. In the US where there are no restrictions on buying hunting rifles it’s probably easier just to buy a magnum and a 6.5.
I wish a 223 barrel was available for fun shooting. Also Beretta will probably run into problems not having barrels in 7prc or whatever the new hotness is.
