Bergara B14 Crest Carbon

I have been very highly considering buying the Bergara Crest in the next couple of months. It seems like this is an awesome rifle from what everyone has been saying about it. I see Bergara just announced today the Crest with a carbon barrel.

@backfire Have you had a chance yet to shoot the Crest with the carbon barrel? If you have what are your thoughts on it vs the steel barrel?

I have one without the carbon barrel and love it. I highly recommend the rifle and suspect that the new barrel will only make it that much better.

Looks like a cool gun. I guess it’s a question of whether the carbon wrap on the barrel is worth $300 and 0.7 lbs.

I don’t think it’s an essential upgrade, but it’s definitely nice and a reasonable price increase for what you get.
