Looking at different stock precision rifles. Was looking at the bergara premier competion in 6 creedmore. Anyone have any other thoughts on different stock rifles around that $2000 to $2500 mark. That seems like a great deal for the set up. Thanks!
They make that gun in 6GT. Thatd be my pick.
I saw that and i dont know much about all the different 6’s…lol
6 gt is one of the most common cartridges in the PRS competitions. You’d need to hand load to take advantage of it though, but there could be some small companies loading for it.
I am saving up and thinking really hard about the MPA BA PMR Pro Rifle II - MasterPiece Arms, Inc. or the https://www.bergara.online/us/rifles/premier/competition-rifle/ myself… I don’t see anything wrong with either one. I also am hearing great things about the GA Precision Pinnacle Production Rifle.
What are y’all’s thoughts?
p. s. my son and I have signed up for the Bergara Academy (https://www.bergara.online/us/the-bergara-academy-montana/) in Montana from April 28th through May 1st. I hope to be able to shoot one of their competition rifles. The rifle for the school is the https://www.bergara.online/us/rifles/b14wilderness/wilderness-hmr-carbon-fiber-rifle/. I will have to post a review of the school, the Wilderness HMR Carbon, and if we were able to shoot any other Bergara rifles😎. I posted links so if anyone is interested, all you have to do is click on it.
I apologize to the OP if it appears that I’m trying to hi-jack the thread, but I am VERY curious about what y’all think as well.
Was looking at different rifles. Just shot a prs match this past weekend using a friends custom rifle who wins alot matches in Missouri. Looking into all this info and learning about the production classification. He recommented the MPA or the GA. We acttually shot at vapor trails this weekend. The owner is one of the guys that designed the 6gt. I like the MPA vs the GA because of the stock options. He had nothing bad to say about the bergera but after all i looked at i think i might ne going with the MPA
Great to hear! It’s a LOT of $$$ and it’s good to hear another new guy’s opinion.
What scope are you thinking about going with? I’m heavily considering the NightForce NX8 in the 4-32 or the Leupold Mark 5HD in a similar magnification…
Well for now because im gun poor and have spent too much money. Im going to run a burris xtr 3 that i currently have on a 300prc. But the guy i was shooting with this past weekend they all run leapold mark 5. Again. They would have placed 1st 2nd and 3rd if he wouldnt have showed up hung over…lol
OUTSTANDING!!! Please keep me updated on the progress and what you think about it!!! I’m pumped for you😎
