I’m thinking about purchasing a lightweight, very portable, tripod for an elk hunt this fall. Looking for recommendations. Thanks all!
I just purchased the BOG DeathGrip Infinite Carbon Fiber tripod.
So far no complaints but again I haven’t used it much.
I read a lot of good reviews about Two-Vets tripods and was seriously looking into one and putting and nice ball head on it.
The price would have been about Tripple of the BOG and I am sure worth it but for run and gunning I liked the BOG option.
Just my opinion and remember you get what you pay for.
I use the vortex ridgeview carbon and love it. It is a tall tripod but perfect to sit and glass without any extension of the legs. But goes to full standing without bending over (which is nice when antelope hunting) I replaced the stock pan head with Revic fh-1fluid head and I love it. Holds spotter stable even when loosened up a bit. Arcs Swiss and holds rifle super stable to shoot off. Pricey side though
