I have a T3X bolt/action/barrel I am wanting to change from stainless to a custom black or grey. I have been told that both nitride and cerakote ruins the buttery smoothness of the Tikka action and I do not want that. I watched a video where it sounded awful. Do you guys know of any other option to avoid this from happening?
DLC coating is smooth as glass and black in color.
Cerakote only the barrel and leave the action alone.
So you are saying it will be smooth as glass to DLC coat the Action and Bolt. Correct?
