Bipod extender

Has anyone tried making a bipod extender rather than dropping $500-$1000 for a fabbed or CF one?

I just made one, but haven’t used it yet. Just want to see if others have tried this.

I got out to the range this past weekend to test that extender. Worked wonderfully. So I built the “production” model. 24" and with 2 ARCa clamps for better hold. Also used riveted nut inserts for a cleaner finish.
