I currently have the Gunwerks Elevate Ti Carbon Fiber Bipod, it’s ok but almost has to many features… and I came across and was able to put my hands on Spartan Precision bipods, javelin models, I really like the simplicity of them and they felt pretty nice too… I really liked the magnetic attachment feature. I could honestly felt as if all of the sudden you came up and over a rise, I could deploy and use one of those javelins pretty quick. Only real disadvantage that I’m seeing is the lack of height, with 12” tall the highest available, and where I hunt the grass would be a factor, so throwing down a backpack down for extra height would probably be my fix…And after watching a episode of backfire a Jim hammer throwing a MDT to go lay with the grave yard of Christian Arms from the past that have been hammered thrown makes me think
about the MDT bipods. With Optic Plant having a sale up to 15% off has me considering getting another bipod…. As these named brand bipods are rarely on sale
I have the Tricer no regrets.
I really like the Tricer RP, but I will say if you’re comparing the Ckye Pod, they are apple and oranges. With the short legs, it great off a table since I can splat the legs wide. When hunting I use the long legs cause I can actually sit in a small chair and use this. Very versatile for the price, and much cheaper than other options that go long.
Just got one of these last night, how have you been liking it? I read that some users had an issue with the panning, but they updated it this year to make that feature optional for those that don’t want the movement. Seems to be the best bang for your buck right now.
if you’re referring to the TricerRP (if that’s what you bought), then I thinks is the best bipod for features to value. It not a bipod for a 1000 yard shot, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use it backcountry on a 400 yard shot. And with the short legs, its all I use now on the bench despite having other bipods. I get way less bounce than the $100 bipods I have. I am sure an f class bipod on skis would be better, but I would never use it elsewhere. So, best value.
Agree Ben, I really like my Tricer its great on the bench and the field.
I have the spartan springbok and absolutely love it
I opted for an Amazon special to get by. It’s actually better than a Harris or Caldwell, but only slightly. A Tricer or similar would seem like a Rolls-Royce.
