Any suggestions on a good budget friendly compact range finder?
I went budget with a Vortex Diamondback, and looked through several before I did…It’s a good rangefinder, and does the job, but if I had to do it again, id just spend the money and buy once, cry once. I mostly sit in a blind, and at low light I can’t see well through them at all. I returned a Leupold before I got those, that was awful in low light (can’t remember the model), but if you’re not worried about low light, these have otherwise been great, and have the best warranty you can get. If I decide to sell these, I’ll just spend the money on a good range finding Bino, and not look back. I’m always grabbing my buddies, and the clarity is a massive difference at low light especially.
Halo makes some inexpensive ones that’ aren’t bad
Jim did a review of 8 or 10 laser rangefinders several years ago. At the top of the page is a search box. Search Rangefinders

BassPro and Cabela’s have them on sale.
I have no idea if this RF or scope are any good, but the price is:

A used vortex is the best bang for your buck. You can often find them for 100 bucks on eBay or classifieds. And if you don’t like it you can sell it easy.
We used these at a long range shooting school and they worked great!

Amazon has them for around $200-250
