Burstfire 2 in one Induction Annealer

Hey all has anyone used this yet The burstfire 2 in one annealer and prep center? Looks really promising

I have the knock off. Just like the Burstfire Gen 2 2-in-1. It works well. I do it at night so I don’t have to mess with the Tempilaq anymore. Listen to tunes on the patio and just watch the glow and adjust the time in accordingly. Much less trouble. Great job for less money.

Thanks you said you do It at night to watch It glow . you feel you need to watch It for every case? or is that just for fun like watching a fire :upside_down_face:

I would think its set It and forget It for same headstamps and lots…

I have one and a good friend/gunsmith replaced his Annealeez Flame annealers with one. Between the two of us we have run more than 2000 pieces of brass through them without issue. They are quick to setup and adjust to each brand/lot of brass. Off the top of my head we’ve run Lupua, Alpha, ADG, Peterson, Hornady and Federal brass through them. You can quickly see how much difference in brass hardness there is between the various brands. It will run through 100 pieces of brass pretty quickly.

As far as the case prep center, it’s replaced my RCBS prep center. Works great. One suggestion, get the brass catch tray to help catch the brass shavings when you chamfer and debur. I ordered mine off Amazon.

If you are looking to purchase one and do not want to wait, you might try Scheels. It looks like they have them in stock.

Great info thanks!
When you set up your anneal times Its just visual as ther is no Aztek like mode on this annealer. So what’s your process for each lot /batch headstock setting do you set It up for location first with no anneal then start at the lowest and increase time until It just faintly glows light orange in the dark and say you are good?

referring to the case prep I do case prep on an RSBS MatchMaster 3 in one so the case prep wil prob lay fallow for me except for brushing.

Yes… pretty straight forward. Select the caliber needed on the turret wheel, drop a piece of brass in with machine off and adjust the auto case ejector height. Once that’s done, turn on the water pump/heater and run a piece of brass through. We are looking through the top of the heating element to see when the case neck starts to turn red before ejecting. Once ejecting we also confirm we if we need to adjust case height based on anneal line. We make adjustments to timing and anneal height as needed, then run another case through. It may take a few cases to get set for each brand/lot but once you have that set, you have the setting for the next time you run that brass through. The process we are using is not an exact science but it if you have annealled with a flame annealler, you will know when you have it setup.

It’s really a quick process to get the annealer setup and running.

On a side note, it doesn’t take very long for Hornady to heat up versus something like Lupua.

Thanks that’s what I figured and yes thinner walls wil go much faster. I’m pretty much using lapua for my reloading right now I have just a few calibers and it’s all precision nothing else. So on your lapua brass have you found a setting area that works well? I’m sure It can vary

Listening to some music and just watching the glow. Because it goes so fast, I am busy moving the annealed brass out of the way from the drop pot to another larger container. It also gives me a little time to think about other things I am designing and modifying. ‘Tim the Tool Man’ upgrades constantly.

24-26 seems to be the range we have seen for Lupua brass … at least for the brass lots I have.

Thanks! Appreciated

So I’m at 56 for 308 lpr Lapua with lights off It just pops orange night bright. Will seat the first carts today and see how It goes. Thanks for all the input.

I love mine. The prep center was an added bonus. Easy to change the feeder from magnum to smaller cartridges. You don’t have to ruin a cartridge to use it as well. It’s probably not as. Precise as the amp, but it’s wayyyy better than a flame annealer and the price is right. Also you can load it and go. Works flawlessly once you figure out the annealing time for individual cartridge companies and caliber. Has been the single biggest game changer in reloading for me so far. Cuts the annealing process by 1/4 or less. I actually look forward to annealing.

whats the knockoff version? i’ve been looking for one that’s cheaper than the burstfire. i reload in my wood shop so its not great to have any open flames… lol

Here is what I have, it is propane fired. From Am A Zone RUIIWING 2026 Upgrade Brass Case Annealer with Case Prep Station – RED Forged & Rebuilt Annealing Machine

Also an electric option one is Am A Zone Induction Heater 1300W 110V Bolt Removal,Handheld Magnetic Induction Heater Tool with 5 Coils for Rusty Screw Removing,Red
I am thinking of getting one for multiple reasons. I do my annealing after dark as I can monitor the glow easier and it gets me outside longer

Thank you!! I will definitely check it out! i know the AMP annealer is the gold standard, but that thing is outrageously priced haha

I built a mag annealer but it was slow, one case, hand delivered at a time. Eventually went with the AGM and now I see the have an add on that feeds cases. I generally load 20-40 round at a time so I don’t get into the high volume side.

I got mine off FB Marketplace. Brand new in the box for $100. Hadn’t planned on getting one but couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
