I was planning on buying a Tikka T3X Lite 22-250 with a 1 in 8 twist. But they are sold out every where. Is it possible to rechamber a Tikka T3X Lite 6.5 CM and turn it into a 6mm CM or a 22 CM?
22 Creed and 6.5 Creed use the same bolt face, but the cailbers are quite different: 6.5mm Vs 5.69mm. It easier to do a barrel swap.
Personally, I’d look for a 6.5 Creed used on Gun Broker or Rokslide and then buy a new barrel.
That would be the preferred route I would think. 6.5 CM is readily available everywhere, and, since the case is the same, all you need is a new barrel.
