Caribou Hunt in Alaska

Just a heads up I’ll be caribou hunting near Prudhoe Bay Alaska for the next two weeks. I won’t have internet so don’t think I’m ignoring you.

I’m taking my custom 280ai that I built with a 150gr CX bullet. Should be an ideal setup for getting a bou. Gonna be frozen cold and wet!

Good luck and happy hunting.

You better get some good footage up there for us! Would love to start seeing some longer videos of all the hunts that you go on. Not sure how feasible that is but I know I would watch all of it. Enjoy your trip and good luck!

Coming up! I’m gonna actually make a hunt video this time lol. I always get too distracted with hunting and don’t record, but this time I’m gonna get a video done.

Jim, I’m very jealous. I live in Quebec and was fortunate to able to shoot two caribou a year for many years; I also hunted Central Canada barren ground caribou in the NWT few times. All that’s essentially over now but I loved it. Gorgeous (and tasty) animals, sometimes challenging weather, potentially long range, but sometimes very short range, shooting. Have a great time.

Hey , i live in yukon and its 25-27 celcius,

Its so warm lately its nuts

Hope you have a good time

Everybody in Alaska is telling me it’s warm but it feels freezing to me!

That’s my bucket list hunt man. I’ve been thinking of doing the whole diy version… flying into Fairbanks, renting a pickup and driving north. Just seems like a really fun - see what happens kinda adventure. Can’t wait to hear how your hunt goes!

We missed the migration. Only saw a few caribou but didn’t get any. Next year.
