I am using dry media for now and it doesn’t get the inside of the neck clean. Do i need it clean or prepped some how? Does anyone lube the inside of the neck?
According to Erik cortina, he likes the inside of the neck to be dirty so the bullet doesn’t “cold weld” to the inside of the case.
Interesting that Eric Cortina prefers to reload his cases without cleaning them. Is he neck sizing only or full length resizing? It seems that full length resizing dirty brass could cause dies to become carbon contaminated and possibly cause damage to them. In a Hornady podcast, removing resizing lube was emphasized
so wiping cases with a cloth might be considered as a minimum for cleaning. Any additional thoughts on this?
