Case trim length

Good info. I appreciate it. I bought 3 powders from looking through reloading books not really knowing what to get. I bought the Tac, Varget and N140

MidwayUSA had the Speer 125 TNT on sale for for 22.50 per 100 pack. I was already placing an order, so the shipping was free. Picked up two boxes. Can’t beat that price!

good deal, you can normally find the 500 pack for 100 - 120.00 also for the 125 TNTs.
Tip on loading the shorter bullets 110, 125s - you will not ever reach the lands or even come close so don’t worry about seating depth particulars, the bullets are just too short for that kind of stuff unless you had a chamber specifically made for them.
So, what to do? General rule of thumb for minimum seating bullet depth is to press the bullet in the case ---- no less than equal to the diameter of the bullet.
For the shorter bullets that is what I have always done and it works, going shorter has not really, and if you go much shorter with these they get too far into the case. If you have some Federal Sierra 168 Match bullets, seating the 125 TNTs to the exact overall length gives you enough seating depth and has worked for me as a quick reference point.
48.5 - 50.0 Tac in winchester or hornady brass should give you a positive result, I also shoot 49.0 in Lapua or Federal brass, CCI or Federal 210 primers. I don’t use a chronograph anymore but in a 24" barrel and based on my drop data results at the range, those should be running about 3150 fps. Works for the 125 Nosler BTIP as well.
Varget running about 48.0 - 49.0 got me good results, seems like I remember it can go up to 50, but the powder is right at the top of any case and a pain to handle without spilling it. I usually settled on 48.5.
IMR 4064 at 47.0 in a winchester case is a slower load, right on 3020 fps but was always very accurate and the groups held up to 600 yards so I ran that for a long time in one of my rifles.
Good luck
