Cateridge doesn't matter!

I just watched the YouTube video on “Cartridge Doesn’t Matter”
I loved the results, but… I shoot a 7prc, and a 6.5cm, but my favorite go to hunting rifle these days is a 6.5prc. I believe the 6.5prc has really grown in popularity, and would have loved to see the results of the 6.5prc when compared to the .243, 270, and 6.5cm. We know the 7prc and the .300win mag are going to perform with more damage and penetration, but how would the 6.5prc compare. Inquiring minds would like to know.

I just got my 6.5prc tuned up with eldx but I want to try 130 coppers. I still do not think enough for bull elk though I am sure many will disagree. But man, it is a fun round to shoot - probably my favorite with the combination of speed, accuracy and low recoil. I love it for that. Waiting for my 6 CM - that will be exciting too!

I too have pretty well gotten my 6.5prc reloads tuned up. I am very happy with my load for Hornady 143 ELDX.

I have never been elk hunting, and at my age (71) probably don’t have the stamina for an elk hunt. But I do hunt whitetail deer here in Texas, and would like to take a mule deer and auodad sheep at some point. Based on what I have learned from Jim, I have become a true believer in the high shoulder shot. This photo is the damage produced from my load on a 175 pound white tail with a high shoulder shot.

I found it to be pretty impressive. Would like to see how the 6.5prc would fair in Jim’s “Cartridge doesn’t matter”.

It’s considered the ballistic twin to the 270 Winchester by many people. Therefore, what you see with the 270 block is probably what you’re going to get with the prc.

Agree that a 6.5 prc is gonna be nearly identical to how the 270 looked in the ballistics gel but I’ll work on including a prc into a future vid.
