Chassis Rifle - Which to buy?

Considering a Chassis style hunting rifle and pretty locked in on the new Seekins or Fierce mtn Reaper. That being said, Fierce has the previous model reaper on close out, scoped up with a zeiss conquest (which I love), and in the caliber I want, for $3199. It’s basically about 1 lb heavier than the new models, but a new model of either of those brands would go for $3,099 for gun only. Would like to hear everyone’s opinions/thoughts. Thanks!

I have a Fierce Mountain Reaper in 7prc, and a Seekins Precision Slam in 6.5prc. Both shoot .5moa. I couldn’t be happier with either of them. I may be a little prejudiced towards the Slam. It is about 50% more expensive than the Mountain Reaper, but they both shoot lights out. I also have a Sig Cross in 6.5cm and it shoots as well as either of the other two, at half the price of the Mountain Reaper.

Tikka has their new chassis hunting rifle coming out too

I was really excited when I saw those coming out, but I think they kind of missed the mark on those… No folding stock and they are pretty heavy, over 8 pounds.

The Fierce MTN Reaper is fantastic. Don’t love the action smoothness but everything else is amazing. I’d recommend it.

As another option, you could build. Bergara barreled action for $1200 and a HNT26 for $1300.

Or if you have a tikka donor action, get a proof prefit for $900 and put it in a HNT 26.

Just some options.

Thank you, Jim. Appreciate the insight and options. I feel like the fierce at $3100 scoped up with a zeiss is a really hard deal to pass on. I’ll probably go that route. I don’t love their actions either, but both of my rogues have been flawless.
