Cheapskate dilemma: Switch to ARCA rail or add a small section?

I have a bergara HMR. I added the section of picatinny rail from area419 to replace the swivel studs on the fore end of the stock to mount my atlas bipod. I’d like an arca rail section to mount the rifle to a tripod, as the tripod should attach closer to the balance point (close to the mag well) section of the stock. So in my head I have two options.

  1. Add a 4” section of arca rail right in front of the magwell and keep my picatinny rail section
    Pro: least expensive
Con: less clean look, also loose benefits of having arca rail along the entire forend of the stock.

  2. Remove the pic rail section and add an 8 or 10” section of arca rail. This will just be the pricier option as I have the 2 screw atlas bipod which will require an adapter to mount to the area419 arca rail mount. This will cost about $150 more to do it this way. $40 vs ~$180ish

I’m just torn between doing it the right way the second time around and spending a little more or just getting it done on a budget.

I say go for the cheap way since you’re half way done already. Then on new rifles going forward, go arca for everything.

I would put arca in front of mag well and keep the picitinny at front. Arca for Trippd picitinny for bipod.

I would agree for balance when on the tripod and just sitting and watching having the arca at the balance point. I think there are more options for bipod for pic but maybe that is changing?
