Christensen Arms rifle from recent Youtube video

I have a Remington 700 with a CA barrel on it. I noticed it will shoot groups 1 to 2 inches (for all ammo brands and models) at 100 yards. I rarely see smaller or bigger, but I will take the consistency. Everyone else seems to have horror stories of 4 inch groups. I clean my barrel down to bare steel every 100 shots. I did do a “break in” process on it where you shoot 5 shots then clean, rinse and repeat. I personally do not believe in break in, but did it anyways.

I have a question for Jim. Did you remove all the copper from the bore of the barrels before testing? Can I send you some of David Tubb’s final finish bullets to see if it fixes it? I want to know if these work on “bad shooting” rifles.

Good question.

We do clean the barrels a couple times during testing when we have a hard time getting a gun to group. Seemed to help in this case but not fix it.

But frankly, when a gun can’t shoot sub-MOA consistently, it’s just not super interesting to me because there are so many others that do.
