I have found a place that will load the 6 dasher to the exact specs that Jim has listed on the Rifle Accuracy Database. I was answering all the questions, but I have no idea what the COAL is. They are telling me it’s the measurement from the base to the tip of the projectile.
The load in question is a Berger 105 hybrid bullet
COAL is the hardest measurement to take from someone else’s load, though. There are different reamers (tools to cut a chamber in a barrel) for 6 Dasher. So my COAL may put my bullet 30 thou off the lands, but it may be at jam for another.
Ideally, you’d want to use a Hornady OAL gauge and measure your chamber and then customize the load to match.
But if that’s all a bit Greek, no worries. Loading to the same COAL I used will likely put you in the ballpark. The person loading for you could check the loaded ammo and make sure it’s not at jam.
Do be aware that if a bullet is seated into the lands it can increase pressure in an unsafe way. Always check.
